Thanksgiving at Chesapeake Bay

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, The Mister and I spent time with relatives who have a house overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. The sunrise in the morning was beautiful. In the summer, the sun rose behind the house providing an array of colors in between the two large trees. In the winter, the sun rose to the right of the house which produced a hazy blend of fading colors behind the house.
Although quite cold (there were ice puddles in the sand!), we took a walk along the beach to burn off a few Thanksgiving calories.
We had a great time walking through the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. The view below is directly behind the building.
