Weekend in New York: Day 2

If you missed Day 1 in New York, it can be found here.

Sunday morning we left the beautiful Waldorf Astoria and strolled through the streets of New York towards the New York Palace for brunch at the Villard Michel Richard Bistro. Known for their stuffed crème brulee french toast, four of the five ladies in our group ordered this delectable breakfast. We were not disappointed, the french toast was so rich and delightful.

After brunch, we took a guided tour of the Rockefeller Center and had the opportunity to take photos from the top of the Rockefeller Center. For anyone wanting a dose of history, especially art history of the Rockefeller Center, this tour was very informative and we had an excellent tour guide. However, be forewarned that it is an outdoor tour. Our group was lucky that it reached a high of 39 degrees as several days later a deep winter snowstorm passed through New York and much of the United States.

Our girls' weekend celebrating my friend's birthday swiftly came to an end and our group of five soon went our separate ways. I have known this incredible lady for nearly 15 years and I am so thankful to call her friend. She and her family have always been a wonderful, positive influence in my life. Thank you, dear friend, for inviting me to share in your birthday weekend! It was a blast! And definitely thanks to your husband for planning and coordinating the weekend!
